Hummingbirds will visit the garden all summer long! 

This sweetly scented perennial grows easily from Mirabilis Jalapa flower seeds and the hummingbirds love it. 

The plants are leafy, shrub-like, multi-branched tender perennials that typically grow 18 - 36 inches tall and just as wide. 

The flowers are fragrant and to some people the fragrance is vanilla scented. 

The flowers are trumpet-shaped and are formed singly or in clusters. 

The Four O'Clock flowers are about an inch across at the end and about two inches long. 

On a sunny day, the flowers open in the late afternoon and wilt the next morning. 

If it is cloudy, the flowers may be open all day long.
