Heatsink kit 2 for "breadbin" Commodore 64

Consists of:
  • 2 x 40 pin DIL heatsinks (for 6510 CPU and VIC-II)
  • 2 x 28 pin DIL heatsinks (for PLA and SID)
  • Tube of thermally conductive adhesive
  • Isopropyl alcohol wipes
  • Instructions
The chips that run the hottest in the C64 are the SID (6581),
PLA (906114-01 / 82S100 etc), the CPU (6510) and the
VIC-II (6569) - these are always the first to fail. By simply
attaching heatsinks the heat they generate will be better
dissipated which will maximize their lifespan.

This version of the kit includes a heatsink for the VIC-II Chip
(6569). In early C64s the VIC-II was adequately heatsinked by
the top of the shielding box that surrounds it but on later versions
there was little or no heatsinking on this chip.

(If you require a kit without this extra 40-pin heatsink please
