  1. If it does not automatically detect hard drive, you may need to initialize or format the hard drive. This can be done throught "disk Managemetn" or "Disk Utility". Please refer to your hard drive manual for further instuctions on how to initialize or format a hard frive.
  2. Do not remove the hard drive while it is in use. Doing so may corrupt the data on the hard drive or cause damage to the hardware.
