Struck in 90% fine silver, Franklin half dollars were designed by U.S.

 Mint engraver John R. Sinnock. The obverse depicts the profile of Benjamin Franklin,

 based on a composite study of Franklin`s face from various sketches and paintings. 

The reverse features the legendary Liberty Bell with its time-honored crack.

 A small eagle is seen to the right of the bell to satisfy coinage regulations.

 The 1961-D Franklin half dollar will be an attractive, historic piece in your collection!
