Viking Long Ship stainless steel pendant on a stainless steel chain.

The pendant features a Viking Long Ship with it's sails up and Viking shields at rest along the starboard side.

Viking Longships were long, light, and slender Viking warships that were extremely fast and could be powered by either rowing or wind propulsion. Their unique design allowed them to navigate in choppy ocean waters and even shallow rivers no deeper than 1 meter. Longships were often embellished with carved animal heads at the front of the boat.

Around the year 1000 Leif Eriskson led a crew to North America about 500 years before Christopher Columbus.
