About the virtues of plugs and binding posts:

  • The conventional “classic” connectors are almost always made of brass or sheet brass. They certainly fulfill their tasks, but not without errors.
  • The usually solid pole terminal body inevitably also forms a mass storage, meaning it causes a kind of “capacitor effect”.
  • The larger and more massive a terminal is, the larger the eddy currents are.

Both problems produce clearly audible distortions of the non-linear nature
As is well known, these cannot be corrected. Anyone who is serious about “high end” cannot avoid solving these problems.

And that's why WBT nextgennextgen ™ only made from functional materials:

1. Pure, soft copper is used for power/signal transport, a material that not only conducts electricity excellently but can also be precisely dosed with the right manufacturing processes. The clever processing of the signal conductor allows the secure connection of cable lugs, banana plugs and crimped cable ends.

WBT recommends the surface-friendly silver solder WBT-0800.

Installation
Installation insulation is included, which, in addition to being insulated, also ensures rotation-proof installation and pole identification. For devices that are subject to strong structure-borne noise, such as: B. loudspeakers, additional nut locking should be carried out using the liquid screw locking agent LOCTITE 4804. It is coordinated with the WBT plastics and can also be removed again. WBT also recommends the WBT-0718 structure-borne sound damper.
