lorad means "low radiation". It dampens both electrical and magnetic interference fields in both directions: On the one hand, the interference radiation of the cable in the direction of neighboring devices is significantly reduced and, on the other hand, the interference radiation from omnipresent interference sources such as cell phones, WLAN, radio, TV is drastically reduced. The goal of lower radiation was achieved through two measures:
1. The shielding reduces the alternating electrical field radiated by the cable and, of course, the radiation of high-frequency interference such as radio signals.
2. A special twisting of the conductors also significantly reduces the alternating magnetic field.
