An unusual item, being original colour artwork and the opening 4 pages of handwritten text for an unpublished book based around the characters seen in the 'Uncle Oojah' series from the 1920's (and revived in the 1950's).  The original illustrator for the series was Thomas Maybank.

'Uncle Oojah's Flying Palace ', written by L Capel-Heath and illustrated by H A Leonard.  As well as the title page, there are 10 original illustrations on loose pages, a mix of page sizes and formats.  The title illustration and text are in landscape format measuring 7.75in x 6.25in.  Not dated, my guess would be these are from the 1980's.

In overall very good condition, light handling and storage marks, minor creasing, folds to all of the loose illustrated pages apart from the one shown in photo 6.

My research has sadly uncovered nothing about either the author or the illustrator, not helped by the absence of their first names.  The author does not appear to have had any other works published.

A unique item and a great fun addition to a collection for a fan of the original 'Oojah' books.

I am more than happy to post overseas on the basis that all items will be posted by Airmail with a signature required on delivery.  If you are overseas, please feel free to enquire about postage charges ahead of registering a bid if you are unsure of the cost I may have outlined above, where costs may be prohibitive depending upon where you are in the world and the weight of the item, many thanks.
