The company HNHONGXIANG was founded in 1990, located in Zhecheng city (Diamond City) and is at the forefront of diamond producing technology. This poly-crystalline diamond was specifically produced to be used in production of sapphire wafer. it was made in a HPHT 650 Cubic Hinge a picture of it is the last picture of this listing.  The powder offered in this listing when seen all together has a tan appearance. The color is actually amber/yellow which is consistent with most of the diamond produced in China regardless of it being mono or poly crystalline. this brings me to a very important point the synthetic diamond industry is in a very fluid state especially with China's entry into the mix. There have been so many patents issued that it is almost impossible for any one person to keep up with. two years ago when I first started selling synthetic poly diamond I made a assumption that the process being used to produce this was Detonation Synthesis. That assumption was to become a few sleepless nights. 2 months before the re-writing of this listing I had a customer demand I remove the synthetic poly that all Poly-Crystalline diamond had to be black in color or it wasn't poly. I immediately removed the listing until I could sort it out. the next 2 months was a eyeopener. it started out slow as I plodded around looking for the correct terminology so I could ask the right question. What I have found is that the customer was wrong not only was I wrong for my assumption the customer was wrong about Poly is only Black. he might of meant that all poly made by detonation synthesis is Black and then he is correct.

These synthetic poly-crystalline diamonds are produced using HPHT process.using this process is slow but relatively  inexpensive. the next wrong assumption I made was thinking all poly is friable. its not, friable means that it will continually break apart getting smaller and smaller allowing you to skip grit sizes in the progression.
