Bio

Taking photos since he was 18, Norm grew interest when traveling in the Solomon Islands.

Spending over 50 years in the building industry Norm during this time developed his skills as a self-taught photographer taking the first photos on a Kodak point and shoot, then the 35mm Minolta and now the medium format Bronica Camera.

Norm’s goal has been to wait for the very best light to capture that “foamy white tip of a wave” or “beautiful white etching on the sand as a wave retreats” to create a photo that people would be proud to give pride of wall space in their home or office.

He also uses materials to print his photos on that are long lasting and resistant to ultra violet light so that the photos don’t fade or deteriorate and can be passed down generations.

Learning to develop and print in his studio darkroom, he went on to have many successful exhibitions, including: East Gippsland Art Gallery, The Mud Brick Pavilion Mallacoota , The Lakes Entrance information Centre Gallery, Mount Buller Art Gallery, The Stables Gallery, Nu-Art Gallery, Metung, Neilsons Gallery Restaurant, Café Doppolo Gallery Restaurant, The Court House Gallery, The Court House Gallery Stratford, Bridges Gallery Restaurant Hurstbridge and many more.

He still exhibits today in his gallery in east Gippsland Victoria.
