Do the simple math! Let's say cable length is 10 meters. Signal will be attenuated by ~2.1 dB @ 2000 MHz (10 meters x 0.21 dB/m), so the actual gain of this antenna would be 8 - 9 dB. If worse cable is used, such as RG58, 0.75 dB/m attenuation @ 2000 MHz, signal will be attenuated by 7.5 dB (10 meters x 0.75 dB/m)!!! This antenna has only 2.5 - 3.5 dB, cannot be better than stock antennas. So high quality cable is essential for high quality signal.
