My bags are the antidote for the poly-lined synthetic leather run-of-the-mill bags being produced in China. Most of my bags are full-grain leather; Artisan craft, with authentic distressed character, and many with modifications unique to our line. We only use high-grade men’s belts for shoulder straps.
This leather is reminiscent of equestrian leather halter straps. I also use half centimeter thick mooseskin. Nothing wimpy here; quality and character that stands out and stands the test of a truly rugged lifestyle. Invest in a bag that you’ll love more and more over time. At the time of this listing, I have 180 items all unique and different. Many with added Mooseskin handles; my “trademark” unique idea. Once you have tried it you will wonder how you functioned before without an inside handle. Also on many of my briefcases, I add a mooseskin handle wrap. The handle is the point of contact that the owner has with their bag and mooseskin is so pleasing to touch. My philosophy in writing descriptions is: a picture speaks 1000 words. What I like best about this bag is the choice of soft NUBUCK leather and the classic postal mail carrier mail bag style. With the D rings on one side it's easy to flap the cover over and not even buckle it if you're carrying it with the shoulder strap. While most mailbags don't have a handle this one has a handle and also clips to secure the flap when using the handle to carry it. I also appreciate that it has an outside pocket on the back so you can slip your phone or your iPad PRO 12.9 or your Surface Pro 4.
My modifications: While this bag is in nearly new condition; it is preowned. I have made some practical additions to this bag making it truly one-of-a-kind.
The bag is truly a treasure. When you touch it will be amazed at the quality of the leather. The inside has a polished leather for the divided pocket, under the storm flap, and to divide the inside iPad pro 12.9 pocket from the thick brown leather. One of the finest bags I have run across. No disappointment here.
My one of a kind Modifications: I have added a convenient inside Handle made from 7oz Buffalo skin. It is really flexible and nice to the touch. I have found that with bags and backpacks if I add a handle inside, they become so much more useful. I think you will agree once you have tried it. It makes them easier to load and you can hang your briefcase on a door handle, the back of a chair, a hook (this is what I personally do in my home office. You can even carry it by the handle open and be accessing your stuff as you are walking. I have used an old-school method of attaching the leather handle; pounded copper rivets. I have also used leather washers to add a wonderful look and additional strength to the rivet; in other words, the handle is affixed as to never come out.
The measurements are: 14 wide 11 high and 5 inches deep not including the two front pockets. I have shown pictures with the measuring sticks.
I have this listed as a Men's bag but any woman who appreciates rugged leather goods could make this work for that perfect rugged look.
As shown in the photos: This bag fits my mock-up wooden 15" MacBook Pro 2017 with the measurements of 13.75" x 9.48" x Thickness 0.61" It may fit a bit larger laptop so please contact me if you want me to measure for your specific laptop.
This bag fits my iPad Pro 12.9 very nicely. Measurements of the 12.9 are in inches: 12.04 x 8.69 x .27 for your reference. No need to carry large rolling bags anymore. Now with our tech (tablets an d small laptops) getting smaller, we can carry vintage style bags instead of the "run-of-the-mill" bags being produced in the 21st century.
I imagine someone like a college student or an IT professional who appreciates the rugged and vintage look taking this to a meeting. It is sure to get comments and compliments. It is leather lined leather; this is very rare these days. High-end brands line their bags with poly nylon cloth these days. It is really rare to find a bag at upscale retailers that is leather lined. In my opinion; leather lined is so much better and lasts so much longer.
