Our bags are the antidote for the poly lined synthetic leather bags being produced for even really good upscale companies in China. Most of our bags are full-grain leather. Artisan craft, authentic distressed character, and many with modifications unique to our line. We only use high grade belts for straps reminiscent of equestrian leather halter straps and half centimeter thick mooseskin. Nothing wimpy here; quality and character that stands out and stands the test of a truly rugged life-style.
Invest in a bag that you'll love more and more over time. Not all leather bags are created the same. A great quality leather bag is supposed to look better with time as the leather acquires marks and age related wear.

What I love about this 1970's Briefcase is it's build. It is literally build like a tank or a Hummer. I really like the stitching on the corners and that the case is made in Chicago by a company called Briefcase, Inc. Talk about a creative marketing team. :-)
The leather handle is made extremely durable and the wood box frame adds a few pounds but delivers the goods when it comes to protecting for your valuables. I have added two pieces of card stock for the blotter so you can write down and doodle here while you are on the Subway or Metro. The blotter is very well constructed and will support your MacBook 15 (2017) (or other laptop) just fine. You can slip it out of the fan-file as show in photos (3,4 5) and use it resting on the blotter. Plenty of room for a sweatshirt a water bottle, books, and other gear in "the trunk" below; as I call it.
I found a matching luggage tag and attached it with an infinity deerskin loop. Very easy to get on and off an adds to the charm of this old case.
People are flocking back to the traditional hard-side cases because they are really easy to pack and it is easy to get access to all your gear by just putting it on your lap and popping the spring loaded clasps open. These clasps open with the wonderful, "Klackaty, Klackaty". It is just plain old fun opening a briefcase like this. You will definitely have many wonderful conversations when you are seen carrying this or heard opening it; at the library it would be particularly fun :-)
