Up for bids is this amazing Wonderful old cider or lemonade pitcher from around the turn of the century (late 1800, early 1920). It is marked Bavaria on the bottom with a signature in gold of the person who hand painted the design, Welch. It is made of translucent porcelain china (you can see the shadow of your hand when held up to the light) and has such a lovely design of flowers and leaves hand painted on both sides. The rim of the pitcher and the handle are painted in gold paint. The rim and handle have the slightest bit of paint wear where the hand would hold it and rub the paint a bit, but it does not detract. Otherwise, this is simply a beautiful old piece. Condition: Excellent. No chips or cracks. Size: A nice large pitcher that stands at 5-1/2" tall, and it comfortably holds 2 quarts of liquid. Circa: Late 1800s/Early 1920s Material: Porcelain Mark: Bavaria Your satisfaction guaranteed or money back!
