ANCHOR STRAP Rider Safety Strap, stay safe in the saddle *** NEW ***

The Anchor Strap is an excellent safety aid for nervous or novice horse riders, helping the rider stay safer in the saddle during any type of discipline, whether it be hacking out or hunting! It is a great alternative to a neck strap, giving even the most advanced rider confidence!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Anchor Strap slides onto the stirrup iron bars to give a firm base for the safety anchor.

The strap is designed to allow free movement in the saddle, not to adapt a rigid position if you was holding a neck strap.

When the horse suddenly spooks or bronks and you start to fall, your reaction is to grab, but as the Anchor strap is already in your hand, it immediately helps to prevent you from falling off, or assists in a more controlled fall, landing on your feet!

Fitting Instructions

1) Remove your stirrups and attach the Anchor Straps over your stirrup bars

2) Replace the stirrups & adjust the strap lengths so that the first 'O' ring sits central

3) Adjust the length of the loops so that, when mounted and holding the handle with the plastic stopper resting firmly against the top of your hand, there is a slight bend in your arm when you extend your arm in front of you. (Can be adjusted slightly longer for jumping high jumps.)

4) Any excess strap length can be neatly tucked behind the tops of the saddle flaps.

NOTE: The strap should tension during the last straightenings of your arm, this allows you complete natural movement but prevents you from going beyond you natural riding position.

If you are propelled in any direction beyond your natural position you can lean on or pull the Anchor Strap handle to restore your seated position.

CHOOSING THE CORRECT LENGTH OF ANCHOR STRAP:

CHILD: For Riders with small hands as the handle width is thinner

ADULT: For Riders above 5'4" or Riders whom jump beyond 2'6" and need to stretch further up the neck of the horse without restriction

TREELESS: Has extra long saddle straps to reach the set back stirrup bars on a treeless saddle.

NB: The handle length is not critical as you can adjust the overall length from your stirrup straps. The above fitting instructions are more important
