Description: An original watercolor on paper by well listed Indiana artist Robert Lohman. Features an abstracted reclining nude female in pastel colors of yellow, red and green. Signed and dated '78 lower right.
Robert Lohman, portrait and figure sculptor and painter, worked in a variety of media including wood, plaster, oil paint, watercolor, ceramics and bronze. He studied at John Herron Art Institute and Cranbrook and Yale for graduate work. He assisted Carl Milles at Cranbrook Academy before becoming Director of Fine Arts there from 1947-49. He also taught at Washington University in St. Louis and the Indianapolis Art League for 10 years.
Teachers included Maija Grotell and Gaetano Cecere.
Among his many accomplishments as an artist, he designed the medal for the Indy 500 Pacemaker Club, 1965, and the medal to represent the US at the Exposition Internationale de la Medaille in Athens, 1966. (via AskArt)

With large oversized or expensive items charges may be more to again handle supplies as well as time taken for attention to detail. We try to use new or like new boxes, packing paper, bubble-wrap and like supplies.
International Buyers: We charge shipping based upon the USPS International system. If an amount goes over $50.00 in value we will only ship it with Priority or Express, mail regardless how small an item. That allows for tracking. There's no tracking for first class shipping. Please note import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. We will not falsify claims.
Insurance: We reserve the right to use or not apply insurance to any package. You are welcome to pay for it and it will be applied on your behalf guaranteed.
Shipping Time Frame: We try to ship within two days of being paid. Although we most likely will not ship Friday after noon until the next Monday. If you have an urgent request please let us know we will try to do our best to serve you.
Guarantee: We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. So if you are not satisfied please contact us once you receive your item and we will handle each transaction in a more than fair way. We do ask if you wish to return something that you the buyer pays for the return.
Indiana Residents: Sales tax will be added to both the shipping charges and the total of your item(s) as required by the state law. You are welcome to submit a tax I.D. Through ebay to be considered tax exempt. You are also welcome to pick an item up during normal business hours.
