Trophy was presented to someone by the The American Quarter Horse Association in 1983. The inscription on the plaque which has a few scratches reads: CHAMPION GELDING – BELGRADE MONTANA - Presented By The American Quarter Horse Association 1983. It's a beautiful trophy made from silver-tone finish metal. It is attached to a wood base by bolts & nuts. The wood base is 10 1/4" long & 5" wide. From the bottom of the base to the top of the horse head is about 9". The statue itself is 8 1/2" nose to tail, the height is 7 1/2" base to top of head. On the base of the metal statue it is embossed "American Quarter Horse Assn".  Very bottom has a sticker that reads; Blue Ribbon Trophies 303/635-3575 203 S. Weber Colorado Springs Co 80903. The trophy weights about #5 lbs. I've wiped the wood base with lemon oil but have left the original patina on the metal part and will leave it up to the new owner to shine if wanted.
