Check out the review in Positive Feedback for the paradoxpulse Guard R RGS, they loved it.

This is the all new Paradox Pulse Guard BODY for YOUR Denon phono cartridge. DIY.

THERE IS NO BETTER MOD FOR YOUR DENON
I don't know how to emphasize enough but this is the most advanced modification you can do for the Denon 103 motors. You will be in the class of many thousand dollar cartridges.

The Satin colors are flat looking because they were first sandblasted and then anodized which gives them a textured feel.
Note the two rows of colors the front are the same anodizing as the rear colors but were first sandblasted leaving a flat look.

The buy it now is for the body to turn YOUR DL-103, DL-103R, DL-103D, DL-103GL, etc... cartridge into a world class performer.
The perimeter lead is already installed all you have to do is follow the video instructions add the internal lead (provided) and pot with epoxy (epoxy NOT included). Last picture shows what cartridge motor will look like after material removal.

This lead shot, epoxy, painters tape and plastic bag are the main ingredients to make YOUR Denon a world class moving coil cartridge. Total weight is ~16 grams.
Using lead to remove internal micro vibrations and rigidly holding the coils has enormous consequences.
The improvements are across the board.
Bass; is extended and cleaned up, tighter more focused and defined.
Mid range; big improvement in clarity, speed, dynamics, and focus. With better imaging, and body to those images.
Highs; extension beyond stock without being bright harsh or edgy, it truly gives you speed and delicacy allowing the music to bloom in a most natural way. The cartridge will not actually do higher frequency's it will just allow you to hear them without all the resonations and distortions that were present before.

The better your system is, the more you will enjoy and notice the higher performance parameters of your cartridge. For my personal cartridge I take this one final step further and have Andy at http: www.phonocartridgeretipping.com/  Try phonocartridgeretipping Sapphire Cantilever, Micro Ridge (MR) diamond my favorite. Absolutely delicious! Tell him I sent you.
There is no better mod for your Denon period!
I have tried many others aluminum, wood and air concept bodies none of which can compete with the Pulse Guard, you even get to keep the factory guard to protect your stylus.

This body those of you that want to modify your cartridge your self. I sell other products and colors so check out my other auctions.

I also sell new already completed matched channel (both left and right channels have the same mv output) and broken in 103's or 103R's. Contact me for pricing or check out paradoxpulse.com.

If you want me to do the surgery to your cartridge ($60-) just notify me and send in your cartridge. Return shipping requires a signature.

Thanks for looking and remember "friends don't let friends use stock Denon's"

Dimensions of the interior space in thousandths of an inch.
These numbers are as close as I could get with a caliper so it could be a few thousands off especially where the sides and bottom meet. The inside radius is NOT 90 degrees (where sides meet bottom or front for example) so there can be slight variations in measurements for the meeting areas of side to bottom or front.
Basic inside measurements;
Length front to back 860 thou.
Width 320 thou front or narrow section, length for that section 425 thou.
Width for wide section 475 thou, length for that section 435 thou.
Height 400 thou except for tall section in front which is 500 thou but is only 200 thou in length.
I hope this helps those who want to try and use the Pulse Guard body for other than Denon cartridges.

"Hi Terence,

Well I got back from vacation and installed the cartridge on Monday evening....WOW!  Absolutely brilliant.

Maybe it's my imagination but it almost seems like it is sounding even better after a few hours of play.  Could the armature need a little time to get "used to" it's new surroundings?

Just wanted to thank you again....you the MAN!"

"Terrence,
The cartridge came this morning.  I appreciate the extra efforts you made, to make sure the box came with no issues. I installed it on my Dynavector arm. I'm sure you know better than me, it might be the easiest high end arm to install a cartridge. I'm listening to my second LP side, and it sound terrific.

I see no difference, and maybe better in some areas, than my $3500. Koetsu Rosewood model. I think the R has a better mid-range. It seems to be very clear. Thank you again.

Your cable look amazing !  I do not have the funds to purchase the DAC, and wont have until the beginning of March. I would like to try a set of your cables.

Would you consider making a USB cable ?  I have a DAC that I want to have an audiophile USB cable, when I attach my Macbook Air, for music. I would also be interested in 1 pair of RCA cables to go from my Phono Preamp to my system Preamp.

Thanks again. I am not on Facebook, only LinkedIn. If you would like a nice posted referral or testimony of the R cartridge, please tell me where you would like me to post it.

PS. It beat the pictured model attached ?
Kind regards,

Mike"

"I have aligned the cartridge and set vtf to approx 2.5g. I am very happy with your paradox mod. It sounds way better than my stock dl-103r. Everything sounds better! Can't wait until it is broken in. My system is a Hafler dh-101 preamp modified with MC3 mods bi Musical C, Bryston 4bst amp, Thorens td-125 MkI with Ortofon Rs-212 tonearm, and Snell CV speakers. Your Paradox mod has made my vinyl sound way better. Oh yeah, foot tapping alright! Thanks T."

"Hi Terence
Thanks for your e-mail. I'm listening to music every night with a big smile on my face. All problems with the s-sound are gone and it sounds great. My records has never sounded as good as now. I started to by records in the mid 1970 and today I can hear new things on the old records. It's great.
