AGE
- Postcards are from a family member's collection, during his travels while in the U.S. Navy, in 1918 & 1919 during WWl. He traveled to the east coast of the U.S., England, Ireland and Europe. 1918 & 1919 is the only time he traveled overseas.
BRITISH UNIFORMS, UNITED STATES FLAG & HAT
- The Navy uniforms appear to be for the British Royal Navy. The WWI uniforms for the Royal Navy and the United States Navy are very similar. The Royal Navy uniforms have a white cord around the neck. I don't see this cord on U.S. Navy uniforms, so these uniforms, with the white cord around the neck, appear to be for the British Royal Navy.
- There is an American Flag on the ship, on the postcard, "I'm in a High Position."
- It looks like a U.S. Navy white hat in the postcard, "We Don't Have to Go Ashore to Go on a Skate."
