  • The Monon Railroad, operated from 1847 to 1971, primarily in Indiana. About 124 years. 
  • One line of the Monon railroad connected Chicago to Indianapolis.  Another line connected Michigan City, Indiana, to Louisville, Kentucky.  The 2 lines intersected in the town of Monon, Indiana. 
  • A Monon line also traveled to French Lick, Indiana.

COVER MATERIAL
  • Soft cloth.  Cover photos - 1 & 11. 

CONDITION
  • All pages are present, and tight within the binding. 
  • The majority of the pages, are clean, flat, with minimal chipping, soiling & creases. 
  • I used a ruler to hold the pages down to take photos, so I did not bend the spine. 
  • Book has scuffs, soiling, wear, minor paper chipping & wrinkling. 
  • Outside cover has soiling/stains, mostly on back cover. 
  • Edges of pages have soiling & some wear.  
  • Book has a mild old book scent. 
  • Interior of back cover, on the white paper glued to the back cover, there is a tear at the bottom and top, about 1/4" each. 
  • This is a very interesting 70-year-old, Monon Operating Rules book. 

PACKAGING
  • Your Monon Operating Rules will be mailed in an acid free, clear sleeve, between pieces of cardboard, in a sturdy mailing envelope.
