Wheel marking gauges are widely recognised as being much more accurate than their pinned counterparts. Unlike pin marking gauges, where the pin tends to wander with the grain of the wood, this marking gauge with its bevelled wheel rides across the grain for perfectly straight hair line marking; ideal when working with coarse or open grained woods.
The marking wheel is made from hardened steel which is sharpened to score perfectly straight lines exactly where you need them. For even greater accuracy, the solid brass head features a knurled brass lock for precise grip and cutter positioning. The brass head is finely machined and has a non marring shoe. Maximum capacity 6" / 150mm.
