Welcome to the sale of Sterling Silver Citrine Heavyweight Classic design Ladies Dress Ring with a Hammer-set 7 x 5 mm Oval Citrine stone.
The setting is built in to a 'D' tapering band.
The Citrine is
a high grade AAA genuine stone sourced by us, through our stone
suppliers. The stone is mixed cut.
This ring was designed and made by us at Lu V Jewellery,
and was supplied to various UK jewellers, but has since been deleted.
We therefore need to dispose of our stock of these rings by the most
cost effective way we can.
When sold wholesale, these rings last had an RRP £42.00 in April 2017. Our price to you now is just £19.00.
Apologies: We are now having to add a contribution towards the ever increasing postal costs.
Our
option would be to melt the rings down, (this is an acid process), but
stones do not always survive this, and we are left with scrap silver
which needs to be refined and then put with new alloy, before re-using.
In truth, this does not recover any of the original manufacturing
costs, and is only a last resort.
Our most cost
effective way if to offer the rings for sale at a price which covers
our material, manufacturing and shipping costs, along with new costs
here such as eBay fees and postage. If we can give a really low, less
than wholesale price to tempt you to buy this, then not only is it best
for us, but you have a top quality item of jewellery at a fraction of
the normal cost, and will metal prices much higher of late, makes it an
even better bargain.
These rings are available in Sizes M N1/2 O1/2 only. It can be sized down 2 sizes or up 5 sizes without damage.
It would be inadvisable to size outside of those perimeters, as this
may cause the stone to become loose. If you wish this to be done, we
could offer this service to you at a cost of £15.00 inclusive of Postage.
If you have your finger measured for this by your local jeweller,
please bear in mind that the inside of the ring is flat (width ranging from 3 to 7mm) and not
rounded, so you need to be measured accordingly. N.B. Sizing will add
approx. 10 working days to delivery.
You are
of course welcome to get your local jeweller to do this for you. If they
attempt to size beyond our recommended perimeters then our guarantee
becomes invalid, although they would be fully aware of the risks
involved in sizing beyond these limits.
Ring
has extremely low porosity which means the ring is unlikely to crack or
have porosity holes throughout. (Porosity are air bubbles trapped in
the casting which can cause severe weakness, and cause the ring to
break). Unlike many of our competitors, we do not have to plate our
jewellery with rhodium etc. to cover up the pin prick holes formed by
this.
The metal is Sterling Silver (925) or 92.5% Pure and made in our own factory. This is not brass which has been plated. As a company are registered with the London Assay Office, we need to preserve our reputation and comply with the UK hallmarking Law.
These are very heavy rings for what is normally considered a dress ring. They range from 4.3 to 4.7 grams, so quite robust, but not suited for a mans small finger.
This is made from Sterling Silver and
has a robustness about this which will tell you it can be worn for most
everyday tasks. and not a flimsy ring that will bend out of shape at the
first opportunity. You are advised to keep this on when you do the
washing up. Hot soapy water will keep the stone sparkling, and unless
you have a ring set with emeralds, pearls, opal etc. most jewellery will
not be damaged. Having said that, please don't do DIY, gardening or
lifting heavy objects in this or any other item of jewellery for that
matter.
The ring is guaranteed for 12 months from date of purchase, and is supplied with gift pouchette.
I
always try to post on the day of purchase, but on rare occasions need
to travel on business which can increase the dispatch date by up to 4
days. If it is important for you to know when this item will be
dispatched, please contact us in advance of purchase.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO STATE SIZE WHICH ORDERING, A NOTE ATTACHED AT THE POINT OF SALE OR A SEPERATE MESSAGE IS FINE
AFTERCARE:
Having said about keeping it on to do the washing up, it is a good idea
when the ring is not being worn, to put it in the cellophane packet
which the ring was in when it arrived. Although this is made of
anti-tarnish silver, it will eventually over time tarnish. This is due
the pollutants within the atmosphere, and the ring not being exposed to
the elements will help keep it cleaner for longer.
**Please
do not under any circumstances clean the ring with a liquid cleaner
such as silver dip, as this will leave a yellowish film on the surface. A
soft clean cloth is fine, but for a special clean, use something like a
'Long term silver cloth', or similar cleaning cloths on the market
today, most work very well and are available from other suppliers on
Ebay.
