Finding a quality network camera that is also compact and stylish can be something of a challenge. Thankfully, with the Sony SNC-DS60, the wait is over. Through the use of an advanced image sensor along with a plethora of electronic controls, this camera is able to deliver outstanding quality images in virtually any lighting environment or scene situation. All of this power is contained inside a rugged, IP66 rated enclosure that is also internally heated. This will allow you to safely install it indoors or outdoors as well as in areas where vandalism is a concern.

This camera installs readily on the flat surface of a wall or ceiling. An optional bracket (YT-ICB45) is available for in-ceiling mounting applications.

Outstanding Image Quality
Sony used all the tools at its disposal to provide this camera with the best possible image quality. This includes the use of a 1/4" progressive scan CCD and ExwavePRO technology. Based on but improving on ExwaveHAD technology, ExwavePRO incorporates a complementary, rather than a primary, color filter system to enhance the CCD's sensitivity to available light.
Intelligent Motion Detection (DEPA)
Built into the camera is a sophisticated motion detection system that can be used to trigger image transfer or alarm alerts to a Sony NSR series recorder or IMZ-RS400 series software. This not only enhances your security, but also greatly cuts down on network and storage requirements. To minimize false alarms, there are many areas and sensitivity levels that you can choose from. There is also a feature for creating a virtual borderline.
Optimized for Day & Night Surveillance
A Day/Night function auto switches the camera from color to a sensitive B/W mode when light levels fall, thus ensuring optimum image quality 24-hours a day.
Dual Compression Options
For versatile data management, images can be captured using either the M-JPEG or MPEG-4 compression formats. With its high resolution and relatively low compression, M-JPEG is best suited for live viewing, while MPEG-4, having a higher compression, is ideal for network transmission, where speed sometimes takes precedence over resolution.
Voice Alert
Audio files can be uploaded into the camera's Voice Alert system for playback upon an alarm event or at a specified time.
Weather & Vandal Resistant Enclosure
A rugged, IP66 rated enclosure together with a built-in heater module effectively keep the camera safe from weather and vandalism.
