This often leads to the plug becoming excessively hot and can cause pre-ignition and severe overrun.
 To overcome this you need a colder plug.
The colder plug has a shorter insulation and allows the plug to dissipate heat more easily and quickly keeping it cool and allowing it to operate at higher temperatures 

In addition our race plugs have a Iridium electrode , Iridium allows for an ultra fine electrode this  in turn allows the spark to concentrate for better combustion
