Spiral Flute Metric Tap M10x1.0 10 mm ISO 529

Sale is for One Tap

Spiral Flute taps are used to produce a thread close to the bottom of a blind hole and therefore have a very short lead. the right hand spiral cut of the flutes acts to force the swarf away from the cutting teeth to the rear of the flutes and out of the hole. They are better suited to materials which form long stringy swarf rather then chips.

Taps are supplied with a fast spiral and to Class 2 Tolerance which produces tapped holes to 6H, 4G and 5G for metric threads and 2B for Unified threads and Medium fit for Whitworth and BA threads.

Picture shows Spiral flute as an example and is not necessarily to the pitch and size being sold in this listing.
