This listing is for a stunning antique Estate 14 K yellow gold stick pin decorated with a reverse intaglio Essex Crystal containing a Pointer dog figure. Items made using Essex Crystals were popular during the late Victorian Period and have become increasingly hard to find, especially in near mint condition. The crystal features a reverse intaglio of a Pointer dog standing at point on a grassy area. The background has a mother of pearl appearance. Back of pin is marked "14 K".
Pin measures 2 5/8" long with the round convex shaped crystal being 5/8" in diameter and approximately 1/4" deep . Weighs 3.8 grams.
This unusual stick pin is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. There is a very slight no harm bend in the pin shaft.
