This listing is for an unusual oil painting of a middle-Eastern man playing musical instrument hand painted on a natural leaf. The painting is very colorful and has the texture of the leaf background with the leaf's veins showing in detail. The painting was given as a gift with presentation information on the back. Also marked "Medan, 25-3-77, Hand painted in oil colour on real skeleton pipal tree leaf". The frame is silver colored metal with label by Arlington VA framer on the back.
The frame measures 10 5/8" high, 8 5/8" wide and 3/8" deep with the site measuring 7 3/4" high and 9 3/4" wide. Weighs slightly over 1 pound.
The painting is nicely done and the leaf that is used as the background of the painting is in excellent condition with no noted flaws. The frame reflects normal signs of wear.
