David Lindley & El Rayo X recently reformed and have been playing together for the first time in many years. Here is David featured on a vintage and original beautiful Fillmore poster from over fifteen years ago. One of the most beautiful Fillmore posters ever made in an African style. This extremely limited edition MINT condition ORIGINAL Fillmore poster is numbered F51. It is 19 1/8" x 12 5/8" and was for a great night of Zimbabwe jit, reggae & rock music at the Geary Street San Francisco landmark. The poster was only distributed to a few hundred patrons after the show ended. The crowd went dance crazy all night! David Lindley was on fire even though his polyester clothes were flame retardant.

The Bhundu Boys blew the roof off the joint and El Rayo X rose to the challenge. It was the first and only time on the Fillmore stage for Zimbabwe's great musical ambassadors of jit jive, The Bhundu Boys. The Midnight Dread Sound System also appeared. Midnight Dread is reggae expert Roger Steffens' favorite sound system of all-time. This concert took place almost a year before the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake shut down the legendary San Francisco musical auditorium for years of retrofitting. BGP's (Bill Graham Presents) second run at The Fillmore was short but filled with more worldly music than the first run in the 60s ever aspired to. Great venue, great show, fantastic poster; The Fillmore.
