CONDITION

A good reading copy with all contents present including all 4 engraved plates. The cloth binding has sellotape over the spine and at the rear inner joint, front inner joint cracked, pages are good with some grubbiness to a few, plates all present if a little grubby and one has a little water-stain to the top edge. Overall fair reading copy. Scarce.

Tom Oakleigh was a pseudonym of James Wilson. "The endeavour has been to compress into the Oakleigh Code such practical information only as it will be serviceable to the shooter in pursuit of grouse, black-game, partridges, pheasants, woodcocks, snipes, and hares.
