"Canada Lynx" two - page bookplate art from the 1940 book "Audubon's America", The Narratives and Experiences of John James Audubon, as edited by Donald Culross Peattie.

Like all of Audubon's art, its very detailed with lots of color and passion as shown in all his work.

This is a 2-page spread.  Pages were attached to book binding by additional piece of paper along the fold, so as not to damage the print when it was removed from the book.

I purchased the complete book at a local Church book sale, but the bindings and cover were so damaged that I couldn't save the entire book. I was able to save some of the art pages that were in the book.  This listing is two of those pages.

You are bidding on the 2-page art pages titled "Canada Lynx" only. On the back side of one of these pages is the several paragraphs of information titled "Canada Lynx."  I have included with the listing, photos of the book title page, the reverse side of the title page showing Copyright info, and the "Illustrations" listings page.  These are shown here to simply give information to potential buyers on the source of the art pages.  I will be listing several other of the illustrations, and obviously couldn't send the original "Title" and "Illustration" pages with each mailing.

Title page information includes: Illustrated with facsimiles of Audubon's prints and paintings. Houghton Mifflin Company, Boston; The Riverside Press, Cambridge; Copyright, 1940 by Donald Culross Peattie; Printed in the U.S.A. Information on the "Illustrations" page says:  The illustrations in this book are produced by offset lithography, by The Lakeside Press, Chicago, and The Tudor Press, Boston.

Buyer will receive the art pages only, not the book identifying pages shown in the photos attached.

I will place the art pages in a plastic sleeve and secure to piece of white foam board for mailing by USPS First Class in a bubble envelope.

I'll mail the same day, or next day after PayPal payment is received.
