Strip down version of Controller short Kit for the KAM AD9850 DDS Signal Generator Module VFO.
THERE ARE 4 VERSION OF DRIVER CODE AVAILABLE AS FOLLOWS:
OPTION 1: VERSION 3x0x FOR DIRECT CONVERSION TRANSCEIVERS, AND RETRO RIGS LIKE TS520. (THIS IS THE DEFAULT VERSION).
OPTION 2: VERSION 3x2x FOR DIRECT CONVERSION TRANSCEIVERS which includes all HAM HF bands 160M,80M,60M,40M,30M,20M,17M,15M,12M,10M,6M. AND HAS BAND SWITCHING DIGITAL OUTPUT FOR FILTER SWITCHING.
OPTION3: VERSION 3x4x FOR SIGNAL GENERATORS TUNES 0 TO 40MHZ .
IF YOU BID PLEASE STATE WHICH VERSION YOU REQUIRE OR otherwise the default "OPTION 1, 3V0x" will be sent.
OPTION 4: FOR SUPERHETERODYNE TRANSCEIVER, THIS VERSION REQUIRES THE THE USER TO SPECIFY THE RECEIVERS INTERMEDIATE FREQUENCY AND FREQUENCY BANDS REQUIRED.
NOTE: There will be no output from the cheap AD9850 DDS Signal Generator Module sold on E-bay without a Controller like this. or an interface circuit and a computer and software. This controller circuit and code will provide the functions (SEE THE CODE SPECIFICATIONS BELOW), to control an 8 digit 7 segment LED Display module and the AD9850 DDS Signal Generator Module.
The short Multi Band (MB) VFO Kit consist of:
1 off Pre-programmed and tested PIC16F628A Chip
plus Instruction Handbook and Circuit diagram.
NOTE:
The AD9850 DDS Signal Generator Module, The 8 DIGIT 7SEG LED DISPLAY MODULE, or the Rotary shaft Encoder are ARE NOT INCLUDED, They can be obtained off E-BAY,

THIS VERSION IS A VERY SIMPLE DESIGN, THE LAYOUT AND BUILT EXAMPLE, IS SHOWN IN THE PICTURES.

160M: 1.81 MHZ TO 2.0 MHZ,
80M: 3.5 MHZ TO 3.8 MHZ
40M: 7.0 MHZ TO 7.25 MHZ
20M: 14 MHZ TO 14.350 MHZ
T520: VFO (5.0 TO 5.5 MHz for TS 520/820 VFO)
OTHER BAND PLANS CAN BE PROGRAMMED ON REQUEST.

OPTION 2: FOR RADIO HAMS ALL BANDS WITH OFFSET AND BAND SWITCHING DIGITAL SIGNAL

CODE FUNCTIONS : (SEE BLOCK DIAGRAM)
THE CODE DRIVES AN 8 DIGIT 7 SEGMENT LED DISPLAY MODULE TO DISPLAY THE DDS MODULE SET FREQUENCY AND TUNING STEP FREQUENCY RATE AND PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING USER INTERFACE INPUTS:-
SWITCH INPUT (SW1) TO SELECT VFO A or B.
SWITCH INPUT (PB1) TO COPY VFO A TO VFO B
PUSH SWITCH (PB1) ALSO SELECTS THE FREQUENCY STEP:
10KHZ, 1KHZ, 100HZ, 10HZ, AND 1HZ
SHAFT ROTARY ENCODER LOGIC INPUTS (A and B) TO TUNE THE FREQUENCY.
SWITCH INPUT (SW2) FOR SPLIT OR TUNE BOTH VFO A AND B.
SWITCH INPUT (PB2) FOR MENU SELECTION USED TO SELECT CODE FUNCTION MODE.
SWITCH INPUT (SW3) FOR A TX KEY.
THE TXKEY ‘ON’ WILL WRITE ‘VFO A’ FREQUENCY TO THE DDS MODULE REGARDLESS OF THE VFO SELECTED BY SW1.
VFO B IS INCLUDED TO PROVIDES RIT FUNCTION OR LO FUNCTION.
THE CODE WAS DESIGNED FOR EASE OF USE AND IT IS EASY TO BUILD (SEE THE ATTACHED PICTURES), AND FOR RETRO FIT INTO RIGS LIKE THE FT101, TS520, AND SIMPLE DIRECT CONVERSION RECEIVERS, ECT....OR IT CAN BE JUST A SIMPLE SIGNAL GENERATOR/ REFERENCE. (THIS OPTION AVAILABLE ON REQUEST)
IF YOU PREFER TO USE A FREQUENCY COUNTER AND NOT INCORPORATE THE 7 SEGMENT LED DISPLAY THEN THE CODE WILL ALSO WORK WITHOUT IT.
