Idea just popped into my head one day- so I made three attempts.  Two (this is one) worked out and the third exploded and nearly showered me in molten aluminum.  The Mound/ Chimney is sealed to make it a lot less fragile. The arm is aluminum that was poured into an existing burrow. Base is simply a stained pine board. All elements are rough in nature and texture. 

Hot poured, pure Aluminum to form a one of kind sculpture.  

As far as I searched- I've never seen a mound preserved, never seen a burrow preserved and never seen the combination mounted or displayed in any way.  It may exist - but I've never seen one.  So- it is truly one of a kind, and surely a conversation piece for anyone that knows what a crawfish is...

It is rather fragile and will require special handling and shipping- please be aware if it arrives damaged a refund will be offered but it can not be replicated!
