Artist Biography

(1899 - 1954)

Paul Hannaux was active/lived in France.

Paul Hannaux was a painter, illustrator and decorator.  He studied at L'Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris.  He was awarded the Prix de Rome in 1924.  He was influenced by the painterly technique of Oscar Kokoschka (1886-1980). He made numerous painting trips to Spain and also traveled to North Africa, South America, Italy and Yugoslavia.  His work can be seen in the Museums of Paris, Metz, Madrid, Rio de Janeiro, Cologne, and Salzburg.
