Microsoft Surface PRO 2 48W PD (12V/3.6A) / RT 24W(12V 2A)

 

CHARGERS UNDER 29W (i.e. 18W, 24W, etc) WILL NOT WORK. If your USB-C charger came with your phone or iPad, IT WILL NOT WORK.

MOST APPLE USB-C CHARGERS WILL NOT WORK BECAUSE MOST MODELS DO NOT SUPPORT 12V  

As a reference, check your original charger's power output. If your original Surface charger is 36W or 44W, then you will need a 45W PD (12V/3A) power source.

You may experience insufficient power if your USB-C power source is not equal to or greater than your original charger.
