For all BMW R1200GS ADVENTURE motorbikes

These are the parts BMW should have supplied in the first place!

This eBay listing is for (4) *UPGRADEDCHROME-PLATED, SOLID BRASS FUEL COUPLERS with STAINLESS STEEL valve spring, pin and latch, and features VITON o-rings (Viton is much longer lasting than the OEM rubber o-rings which break down from fuel & oil). All OEM male couplers do not have the added internal safety shut-off valve that these have! These internal stainless steel safety valves will close off the flow of fuel when the couplers are disconnected. When connected, these internal valves will be pushed open, allowing fuel to flow across again. These couplers are made from the same manufacturer "CPC" which made the original OEM plastic connector.

The male couplers are barbed for 5/16" (8mm) ID fuel hose and the female threaded couplers are 3/8" NPT.

The original plastic fuel line couplers are infamous to snapping off when moving the gas tank with the fuel lines attachedSo if you still have the original plastic male couplers, here is your chance to easily get a superb quality *ALL-METAL* direct replacement with proper VITON o-rings and the internal safety shut-off valves(You will ride and sleep much better knowing they have been replaced with metal ones) Alternatively, you could go to the dealer and spend the $30+ on getting another OEM plastic coupler, but they will snap again and again and eventually leak through the rubber o-ring unlike these that will last a lifetime!

You will need 2 small hose clamps to secure the male coupler to their fuel line.

For any questions at all, please message me. I have used these myself and love them. I recommend putting RTV sealant on the threads to seal them when installing, which also helps prevent the possibility of over-torquing the coupler in fear of a leak.

If you are having trouble removing a broken plastic coupler, trying using an "easy-out/screw extractor". You may have to cut down the screw extractor's tip to fit snugly, as the threaded hole on the fuel tank may be too shallow if the screw extractor is too small/long.

The pictures above show an original OEM plastic connector that this metal one will replace. There is also a picture of a typical situation when replacing one of the OEM plastic couplers. The tip on the screw extractor shown in the picture was cut off to fit far enough into the hole for gripping the inside of the broken connector.

My couplers directly replace the original plastic fuel line connector(A.K.A quick connect / disconnect, dry break, coupler, coupling ) for the models & years listed here.
