FLAX EVO STANDS FOR EVOLUTION The Flax membrane is the best example of FOCAL's know-how. The membrane is light, stiff and optimally damped - essential elements for the "ideal" loudspeaker driver. Manufactured in the FOCAL production facilities, high-quality French flax is embedded between two thin layers of fiberglass for this membrane. The lightweight sandwich is characterized by a natural sound without coloration as well as rich mid-range reproduction and precise bass beats.

 

Flax Evo delivers further innovations such as the new TAM tweeter: derived from the state-of-the-art tweeter of the Utopia M series, the inverted dome with M profile ensures a wider beam angle. The patented Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) surround is used on Allen speaker components and helps reduce unwanted resonances and enables clean, neutral midrange reproduction with very low distortion.
