I have this 50 cent Statue of Liberty proof coin from the US Mint. It was minted in 1986 to commemorate the Statue of Liberty's 100th anniversary. This beautiful coin is set in a plastic capsule which is set in a cardboard holder. Has its storage box, descriptive information and slides into a protective cardboard sleeve. On the front is the stature of Liberty with the New York skyline as the backdrop. On the back is written a Nation of Immigrants with an immigrant family looking at the New York skyline. Coin was minted in San Francisco and contains 92% copper and 8 % nickel. A nice collectible coin.
