This is a Grottano handmade 4/4 size violin made in Romania for advanced student or adult. This model is made from slightly flamed Carpathia Resonance Spruce plate (top) Naturally Dried Sycamore Maple Back Plate, neck and ribs. We import these fine instruments and then completely rebuild them in our shop to the highest specifications. Fingerboards are recut, pegs are recut, new nuts, buttons, new strings and new bridges are cut from scratch to bring out the best in each instrument. This violin comes with a deluxe Brazilwood silver wound bow with real Mongolian horsehair, a deluxe case fitted for backpack straps and a full shop Warranty. Our Grottano brand violin plays with a bright clear tone because it's not covered with a synthetic polyurethane varnish. These violins are hand finished with oil varnish. All solid wood instruments will continue to play better and better with time. This has been one of our most popular violins for serious students and adult players.
