You can no longer purchase WMF products in the UK and not sure if Taika has now been discontinued in Germany as WMF have Taika listed on their own website as out of stock. Their price is 47.99 euros. We were a big authorised WMF stockist up until about 4 or 5 years ago when WMF decided to pull out of the UK market. We have found a few WMF items in our stock room that we are clearing out and this is one of them.
I am aware that there are cheaper Taika pieces that were apparently made for the US market in China and were marked with China on them. Our Taika pieces (we have table knives and forks left) were direct from WMF in Germany and the knives have WMF lasered on the blade and the forks have WMF Cromargan stamped on the back of the fork.
