Here is a seldom seen vintage Gold Filled EVERSHARP ENVOY ballpoint pen and pencil set – this model was short lived from the late 1940s to the early 1950s and was offered as a companion to the same period Envoy line of fountain pens and sets.  This is the original Eversharp Envoy set – the Envoy line was later revived under Parker’s ownership. The set is handsome and well made, fine line pattern, slender and with no dings or dimples – used very lightly if at all. The pencil propels and repels smoothly, the pen refill is dry. The contrasting, polished self-band is signed EVERSHARP Made in USA and GOLD FILLED -  there are no personalizations. The clips have tasteful double-check logo badges. The box is as new, plush and satin lined.
