This is a vintage women's V-neck school sweater, whose mascot was the Trojans, possibly used for cheerleading. It is dark red and has a 50/50% Creslan (acrylic) and Rayon label. Also labeled machine wash and dry. Marked size S 34/36, laid flat it measures 17" armpit to armpit + some stretch, 23" shoulder to hem, and 23" shoulder to end of long sleeves. Sleeves and hem are banded. In excellent condition, it appears unworn and has no holes or stains. I would estimate it to be from the 1960's.
