The put-up hinge has been designed to facilitate a better viewing angle for the user when in a standalone mode.  The put-up hinge allows the user to position the CF-D1 onto uneven surfaces (e.g. an engine bay) whilst providing a
comfortable viewing angle for the user. The user can then focus with having both hands available on the task in hand.  The put-up hinge also doubles up as a carrying solution when the hinge is moved into the upright position.
