DUCATI 750 SPORT

Epitomising functional minimalism, in 1972 the Ducati 750 Sport was the only readily available large displacement factory café racer. Long, low and narrow, the rider moulded into it rather than perched on top. The 750 GT was already considered one of the best handling motorcycles available, but the Sport was better. The low handlebars placed more weight on the front wheel, and at 185 kilograms it was lighter. And while there were only a few engine updates; the Sport was a much faster motorcycle than its 750 GT sibling. While the 750 Sport evolved in 1973 and 1974, fortunately its essence and soul remained. In any incarnation the 750 Sport is seen as the definitive 1970s factory café racer. Ian Falloon bought his first new motorcycle, a 1973 Ducati 750 Sport, in 1974. He has owned several 750 Sports over the years and it continues as one of his favourite motorcycles. This is only published reference with complete production figures from 1972. If you want to know how many 750 Sports were built in 1972 this book will tell you. Details such as the correct handgrips (they changed every year), how to place a silencer homologation plate and myriads of other details are described in this book. This quality 10x8 52 page book is printed on high quality paper and only published to order.
