Very rare, original newspaper advertisement for IDEAL GARAGE CO., Frederick, Maryland. 

This ad was saved from a damaged, original issue of THE NEWS, Frederick, MD. Monday, October 21, 1912. 

It has been mounted on a piece of white 3/16" foam board, and then custom-matted in a brown 11" x 14" size mat. 

It's ready-to-frame! On back of matted ad is the original heading with date line from the newspaper mentioned. 

Ad size is 4 1/2" x 9 1/2". 

I'm going to list the ad copy below, because it is very interesting, and hard-to-read in ad because type is so small. 

1913 Announcement of Ideal Garage Co. When we decided to build an up-to-date Garage in Frederick to comply with the wishes of our many friends, we pretty soon were made to realize that our reputation was at (dt in ad, spelling error), stake, so we set out to make ours the best and most fully equipped in the State, to secure the best and most reliable mechanics that could be had, so that you need not fear leaving any make car in our care. Next came the selection of Cars. This took sometime to decide, which would reach all classes of purchasers. The first we selected was a medium-priced car, the Buick, which proved very satisfactory, as we have now eleven car loads sold to the very best people in the county, all delighted with them.
