125 gram pack approximately of natural and pure gum arabic (gum acacia). This is a high grade product and is of food grade quality.  It of BP standard.   The gum arabic/acacia comes in the form of small pearls, slightly differing in colour.  Note that this form of gum arabic may contain very small amounts of organic material - usually leaf material from the tree from which the gum is derived.  This is permitted within the BP standard for this product.

 

Gum Arabic (gum acacia) is a widely used product in the food industry and had many industrial and commercial uses.   It is also used as an incense, either in combination with other incense, or on its own.   An important characteristic of gum Arabic is its solubility in water, which makes it important as a binder, and traditionally used in the preparation of water colour paints.

 

Gum Arabic has charateristics that include being:

 

·         a water soluble and edible gum - used for example,  in the gum for postage stamps.

·        a clear water soluble varnish or sizing with applications in photography and the traditional printing industry

           A binder for water colour pigments

·        Edible  (E number is E414)

Postage:

Our commitment is to post items within 3 working days of the order being paid for, although in practice we endeavour to post within 1 or 2 working days.

 

It is our policy not to make a profit from post charges but to cover our costs.  Our postage charges are based on actual costs only (ie post charge + packing and dispatch costs + applied paypal fees on post).
