Stuart Little by E B White 1st Edition 1st Print 1945 Code 10-E I-U.

This book was the first children's book that both counterparts, E. B. White and Garth Williams published. It originated, many years prior, from a series of bedtime stories White used to tell his nieces and nephews.

With the help of an editor and the collaborative illustrations from Williams, it was first published in America in 1945, 7 years before Charlotte's Web, and generally received very well. Since then it has become a classic in children's literature.

This is a true first edition first printing with the price of 2.00 on the inner flap of the dust jacket. It also displays the codes '10-5' and 'I-U' whilst stating the words 'First Edition' betweem them.

The orginal paper dust jacket is not missing but it has been cut into the four parts representing the front cover, back cover, front inner flap and rear inner flap. There is a very slight spine lean and a very neat inscription on the first free endpaper. No markings to the beige cloth boards. A very good copy.
