This stunning Fine Silver (99.9%) coin was released by the Royal Australian Mint (RAM) to celebrate the Centenary of the Royal Australian Air Force and specifically honours Wing Commander Robyn Williams.
The coins shows a depiction of three different types of aircraft flown by the RAAF from an early A2-16 SE5A Bi-plane, a Lockheed P3 Orion to the latest F-35A Lightning II. To the left is a Wedge Tailed Eagle which appears on the RAAF Badge.
The coin is issued in a capsule and in a plush case, all set inside a themed shipper.

As the Royal Australian Air Force clocks up a centenary, the role of women has shifted. Robyn Williams was one of the first women to get her wings in the RAAF when she undertook pilot training in 1987. Wing Commander Williams became a flying instructor and test pilot. As a test pilot she flew 20 different aircraft and spent five years test flying the C-130J Super Hercules in Atlanta, US.
