Large format anamorphic lens kits are adaptable to virtually any camera- DSLR, Cinema, Medium Format, etc. Built from high quality Isco or Schneider optics, these large format anamorphic lenses are as sharp as any of the mini anamorphic lenses. Perfect for entry level anamorphic where size and weight is a secondary concern to image quality. These lenses, due to their size, are dual focus only. Will my camera and lenses work?

Our anamorphic lenses are built to work on almost any DSLR available today. We have used anamorphic lenses on Super35 cameras, Red (Helium, Gemini, etc), Canon DSLR and C series, Panasonic GH5, GH4, Sony A7s, Black Magic Cameras, Olympus OMD, Fuji Medium Format, and several others.

WHICH CAMERAS & LENSES WILL WORK?

2x Anamorphic lenses result in the classic, compressed anamorphic look. This means that longer lenses are highly preferred, and may even be required to avoid vignetting. However, as anamorphic lenses double your field of view, the effect is essentially a wide lens with the bokeh and depth of a long lens.

For Micro 4/3 cameras, this anamorphic lens kit works best at 50mm and longer lenses. For full frame cameras like Sony A7, Canon, etc, 85mm or longer lenses are recommended. For medium format cameras, 135mm amd longer prime lenses are an effective length. Zoom lenses and speedboosters are not preferred.

HOW Do I Focus

To setup, you must first attach the setup to the front filter of your prime taking lens (Zeiss, Canon, Nikon, Rokinon, Sigma, etc) using the anamorphic clamp. Next, set infinity focus on the taking lens. You are now ready to focus with our anamorphic. Simply rotate the single focus attachment to focus closer, or to infinity. When setting your focus scale to infinity, your minimum focus will be around 1 feet (0.3m). If you have the single focus version, you may change the focus scale for close focus, adjust the taking and anamorphic lens to set your “infinity focus” to around 3 feet. This will now allow you to use the attachment to focus to around 5-6 inches (.15m) without using diopters.

How does this compare to other anamorphic lenses?

Although this is a dual focus lens, the quality of the glass cannot be beat for the price. This lens is tack sharp all the way to f/1.2. Great for photography, and solo filmmaking, this lens produces an incredible image for the price.

This listing is for the ANAMORPHIC LENS SETUP ONLY. This includes a anamorphic lens, with a slim fit anamorphic lens clamp in either 72mm or 77mm size. This listing does not include the camera, the prime taking lens, or any other camera accessories. Some base lenses may have very minor cosmetic imperfections that do not detract from the professionalism of the lens. Optics are in pristine condition with no issues that affect optical performance. 1 year global warranty valid for lens defects and does not cover damage.
