An extremely rare vintage Pathescope 9.5mm cine film, which is presented here on 2 beautiful metal "Pathe 250" reels, which are each 25cm diameter.

The film is catalogue number SB/877 - "The Master of the Foundry".  Dating from 1939, it was originally presented on 4 x smaller reels.  It is in black and white, and is silent.

A very rare chance to own this scarce film.

Here is the synopsis : The Master of the Foundry. Wounded in her pride rather than in her love when a nobleman indicates disinclination to marry her, a well-bom young lady, who is financially ruined, accepts a proposal of marriage from the owner of a foundry who is madly in love with her, but he finds as soon as the wedding has taken place that he really repulses his young wife. This film depicts with force the anaugonism of two different classes —Nobility versus Bourgeoisie.

CONDITION REPORT : Film is complete - original 4 parts now on 2 large (and lovely) "Pathe 250" metal reels.  Both are protected inside Cecol 16mm metal cans.  The film looks in very good condition - a few minor splices and minor signs of use, but definitely good overall condition.
