20 grams

Moss come from being grown above the water (emersed form) and are perfectly safe for shrimps.
The moss will take on its natural appearance in the aquarium. When moss has brown threads, it is not dead, it means bottom parts were covered by new growth (in emersed form). When exposed to light it will grow new green strands.

Growth rate: Slow, medium
Light: Low to medium
Temperature: 15-27°C
CO2: Not necessary but recommended

Java Moss is a popular aquarium plant which has very few demands. Great for attaching to bogwood or rocks with fishing line, or for carpeting a wall. If it grows out of control, simply prune down to size. A good beginner plant or low tech plant.  It can grow both above and below water, making it also suitable for paludariums. Sometimes it might take time till it will adapts to new water conditions. You might not see any growth for a month or so but do not worry about that.

It needs to be attached to the wood or mesh with fishing line or cotton thread. We don't recommend glue.
